The Orbbec Gemini 336L is an advanced active stereo 3D vision camera engineered for environments where ambient light and surface reflections compromise traditional optics. Featuring an extended 95mm baseline and a specialized IR-Pass optical filter, it effectively blocks visible-light glare, providing rock-solid depth accuracy across reflective indoor factory floors and shadowed outdoor sites. By fusing active and passive stereo technologies, the Gemini 336L streams high-quality depth and RGB imaging over a single, plug-and-play USB 3.0 Type-C cable.

Equipped with a wide 90° × 65° depth field of view and an optimal range of 0.25 to 6m (extending up to 20m+), the Gemini 336L captures precise 3D spatial environments with ≤0.8% precision at 2m. It outputs depth resolutions up to 1280 × 800 @30fps alongside global-shutter RGB up to 1280 × 800 @60fps for blur-free motion tracking. Onboard processing by Orbbec’s custom MX6800 ASIC chip offloads heavy depth calculations from the host PC, ensuring real-time performance with minimal system latency.

Designed for demanding robotics and spatial computing, the Gemini 336L excels in Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) navigation, 3D reconstruction, metrology, and full-body scanning. Integrated hardware triggering, a 6-DoF IMU, and unified hardware timestamps simplify multi-device spatial alignment. Developers can leverage the open-source Orbbec SDK for seamless integration into ROS/ROS2, VSLAM mapping, and advanced obstacle avoidance pipelines.

Built for continuous industrial operation, the Gemini 336L features an IP65-rated dust and water-resistant enclosure operating between -10°C and 50°C. Fully compliant with Class 1 eye-safety and international EMC standards, it offers system integrators and OEMs a rugged, high-precision, and glare-immune 3D perception solution for scalable robotic deployment.
